All sessions comprise 45 minutes fitness with 15 minutes nutrition discussion.
The fitness sessions are game and activity based and Maggie uses balls, hula hoops, bosing gloves and pads, parachutes, skipping ropes etc etc to add variety and keep motivation levels high.
Examples of previous programmes include:-
- 3 month programme at Limelights Youth Club – used for the Duke of Edinburgh bronze award. Specifically targeted at Girls who stated they “don't do exercise.”
- Weekly sessions at Turlin Moor Youth Club – aimed at 11-14 year olds at this estate based youth club.
- 12 week programme at Bourne Valley Youth Club – the exercise sessions were part of a Wellness Course which filled one evening every week. The girls enjoyed a fitness session, nutrition advice, a group meal and learnt skills they chose themselves that prepared them with important life skills whilst having fun.
- After school TLC Course – This will take place at Manor School and will be run by the Church of the Good Shepherd in Rossmore.
Maggie also runs fitness and nutrition programmes at local leisure centres and gyms that are open to the general public and gym members.
